Drawing checklist for a manufacturing RFQ

A clear enquiry reduces technical ambiguity and follow-up during the initial review.

1. Drawing identity and revision

Specify the component or assembly name, drawing number, revision and dimensional units. Explain how related files fit together and identify the controlling reference.

2. Manufacturing requirements

State quantity, material if specified, critical surfaces or dimensions, and required coatings or operations in the order documents. Do not guess unknown values; identify them for technical review.

3. Application and acceptance

Describe the application, known environment and loading, mating components and acceptance criteria. If inspection or test reports are required, include their type and scope in the RFQ.

4. Schedule and document exchange

Specify the required schedule, delivery or installation location and technical contact. Check authorisation and exchange arrangements before sharing confidential drawings.
